The difference is in the finish

Actual customer boat. Results depend on the condition of the finish. Existing decal wear and physical damage are separate from polishing.
Correction · Polishing · Protection
For faded, chalky gelcoat. Compounding works through surface oxidation to help bring back color and gloss. The amount of correction depends on the condition of the boat.
For a finish that looks dull or hazy, or needs refinement after compounding. Polishing improves clarity and reflection, including on gelcoat that does not need heavy oxidation removal.
After correction and polishing, we discuss the right wax or sealant for your boat. Your quote explains the finishing work and protection included.
We assess the finish first, then recommend the steps it needs. Heavy correction, polishing and protection are quoted around the actual condition and areas being worked.

Let’s look at your boat
Pricing depends on boat length, finish condition, the areas being corrected and access around the boat.
Photos help us see the condition. Chalky or heavily faded gelcoat may need compounding followed by polishing. A finish with lighter haze may only need polishing. We will confirm the scope before starting.
Yes. DockSide is mobile. Send your location and how the boat is stored so we can confirm safe access to the surfaces you want corrected.
Some light surface marks may improve with polishing. Deep scratches, cracks, worn decals and damaged gelcoat require separate assessment and are not repaired by polishing.
